Doina is one of the beneficiaries of the first edition of the Women and Girls Scholarship Program of AO Ophelia.
Eager to develop her skills and strengthen her knowledge in accounting, Doina chose to take an online accounting course.
For her, each lesson represented a new learning opportunity and a step towards greater confidence in her skills and new professional perspectives.
When someone believes in you
For Doina, the support received through the scholarship meant not only access to a training course, but also the encouragement she needed to pursue her goals.

An opportunity that can open new paths
The Women and Girls Scholarship Program of AO Ophelia was created to support women and girls in the southern region of the Republic of Moldova in investing in education, skills, and professional development.
During the first edition, 8 women applied, and 4 were selected to receive scholarships of up to MDL 20,000. The beneficiaries chose courses in fields such as accounting, sewing, makeup, and massage, according to their experience, interests, and professional goals.
The scholarships were funded through proceeds raised during the “Ophelia for Women” event, held on March 6, 2025. In this way, the community’s contribution became a concrete investment in the professional development of four women.
At the Ophelia Center, we believe that when women have access to learning and development opportunities, they can make better use of their skills, build their own professional paths, and contribute to stronger communities.
