Olesea has been working in the massage field for many years. The experience she has gained over time did not make her stop learning; on the contrary, it motivated her to continue developing her skills and expanding her knowledge.
With the support of the Women and Girls Scholarship Program of AO Ophelia, Olesea had the opportunity to attend a visceral massage course in Chișinău — a technique focused on the abdominal area that allowed her to deepen her knowledge and diversify her skills in the field of massage.
For Olesea, this experience meant more than learning a new technique. It was an opportunity to invest in her own development and bring new knowledge into the work she was already doing.
Experience is a beginning, not a limit
The fact that Olesea already had experience in the field did not make continued learning any less important. On the contrary, the experience she had accumulated provided a strong foundation on which she could build new skills.
Through this training, she can expand the range of services she offers and respond to different needs of her clients while continuing to develop her practice.
We believe that professional development does not end with obtaining a qualification. When a woman has access to learning opportunities, she can turn her existing experience into new skills, greater confidence, and new perspectives for the future.
An opportunity to keep growing
The Women and Girls Scholarship Program of AO Opheliasupports women and girls in the southern region of the Republic of Moldova who want to acquire new skills, further develop their profession, or create new professional opportunities.
During the first edition, 8 women applied, and 4 were selected to receive scholarships of up to MDL 20,000. The beneficiaries chose courses in different fields, according to their experience and professional goals: sewing, makeup, massage, and accounting.
The scholarships were funded through proceeds raised during the “Ophelia for Women” event, held on March 6, 2025. The funds raised were transformed into concrete opportunities for women who chose to invest in their own skills and professional development.
At the Ophelia Center, we believe that every woman deserves the opportunity to learn, build on her experience, and create her own opportunities.
