For Lilia, professional development means not stopping at what she already knows, but continuing to learn and improve her skills. Having already received basic training in makeup, Lilia wanted to deepen her knowledge, learn new techniques, and improve her practical skills. To take this step, she chose to attend an advanced makeup course with the support of the Women and Girls Scholarship Program of AO Ophelia.

The course gave Lilia the opportunity to strengthen her knowledge and experience, discover new techniques, and further improve her approach to makeup.
For her, this experience was more than additional training. It was an investment in her skills and in her professional future.
By developing the skills she already has, Lilia can gradually expand her opportunities and make better use of her experience in the makeup field.
From one opportunity to new possibilities
The Women and Girls Scholarship Program was created by AO Ophelia to support women and girls in the southern region of the Republic of Moldova in investing in their professional development and strengthening their economic autonomy.
During the first edition, 8 women applied, and 4 were selected to receive scholarships of up to MDL 20,000 to participate in training and professional development courses in different fields.
The scholarships were funded through proceeds raised during the “Ophelia for Women” event, held on March 6, 2025. In this way, an initiative dedicated to women became a concrete opportunity for other women to learn, grow, and build new professional perspectives.
At the Ophelia Center, we believe that investing in education and skills development means greater confidence, economic autonomy, and new opportunities for every woman.
