On May 5–6, 2026, Ophelia Association organized a training session entitled “Prevention, Recognition, and Management of Psychological Violence Cases Among Young People”, dedicated to school psychologists from the Cahul district.
The training was facilitated by Sergiu Toma and brought together professionals directly involved in the emotional and psychological support of children and adolescents within educational institutions.
Throughout the two intensive working days, participants explored the mechanisms through which psychological violence manifests in the school environment, its impact on the emotional and social development of young people, as well as intervention approaches grounded in empathy, safety, and respect for the dignity of the child.
The session combined both theoretical components and numerous practical exercises focused on identifying, analyzing, and managing complex situations encountered in professional practice. Participants had the opportunity to explore different perspectives by assuming distinct roles in simulated case scenarios, contributing to a deeper understanding of the relational and emotional dynamics characteristic of situations involving psychological vulnerability.
At the same time, interactive and experiential methods were employed, including the “sculpture” exercise, designed to facilitate awareness of emotions, relationships, and the subtle mechanisms that can influence the behaviors and reactions of young people affected by psychological violence.
In the context of increasingly complex challenges faced by children and adolescents, strengthening the capacities of education professionals remains essential for building a safe, inclusive, and emotionally supportive school environment for every child.
This represents the second training session organized by Ophelia Association together with Sergiu Toma for school psychologists from the Cahul district, continuing the process of professional development and deepening the competencies required for the prevention and management of psychological violence cases among young people.
