The project was implemented with the financial support provided under the National Coalition “Life Without Violence” Grant Program and aimed to facilitate access for women affected by domestic violence and gender-based violence to specialized psychological counseling and emotional support services.
Through this project, the Ophelia Association offered women survivors of violence a safe and empathetic space in which to benefit from individual and group psychological counseling, tailored to their emotional needs. The services were provided within the Ophelia Women’s Resilience Center in Cahul, contributing to the healing process, regaining confidence and strengthening personal resilience.
At the same time, the project contributed to increasing the accessibility of the services offered by the Center by equipping the association with a car, thus facilitating access for women from more remote communities or those at risk to the necessary psychological support. Through this intervention, the project supported the strengthening of local services responding to violence against women and contributed to improving the quality of life of women in Cahul municipality and district.
